Welcome to the Cottage
A place of peace and spiritual growth.
But Where Do I Start?
1) I urge everyone to start off by reading through all the Faith and Inspiration articles listed on the Home Page and allow God to inspire and encourage you.
2) Spend time with Him and reflect on your current situation and how you can improve, for yourself and your loved ones. It takes time, go slowly, Rome wasn’t built in a day.
3) Start by journaling every scripture, thought or idea that inspires and elevates you. Write everything down; it really helps to clear your mind and start the creative juices flowing. Think about your present life and how you can incorporate what God is saying to you through His words. You will be amazed at the transformation that will eventually occur.
4) Another extremely valuable tool is the Power of Prayer. It is one of the most important things that we can do in our Christian walk. Whether you incorporate it on a daily basis first thing in the morning or right before you go to sleep; He wants to hear from you and in return you will build a wonderful relationship with Him.
5) As most people know, when an emotional moment or crisis occurs in our life, prayer is the most comforting thing we can do. It binds us together in thought, it speaks directly to Heaven and opens up the bridge from us to God. We receive encouragement and direction to know how to deal with the situation we are currently in and it increases our faith and relationship with Him.
“Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
Philippians-4-6
The Proverbs 31 Woman Lifestyle.
*****
Hello, I’m Cynthia. A lover of Jesus, Spring flowers, a Southern cook who adores baking and a professed writer at heart, with a passion to inspire women to be a better version of themselves through prayer and the Word of God.
If you are like many women of today, you struggle with self-identity and self-worth. The Modern World has pulled us in so many directions that it is easy to get distracted, lose our way and our purpose in life. I created this blog to help women from all over the world to connect back to “who you really are”, or if you have lost your way in your spiritual journey.
Even if your journey is a new one, I want to help you get moving in the right direction.

As a Christian, I understand all of the ups and downs of life and how my own Journey with God has taken a backseat at times. We get caught up in the cares of this world and all of it’s deceptions and before we know it, we wake up and realize that we are off course, haven’t prayed in awhile and need to come back to God.
I know from my own experiences, that walking with God can be tough sometimes and that He can ask us to do things that we don’t feel qualified or good enough to do. We get confused and feel misunderstood, as if we have let God down and in doing so, ourselves.
The beauty of walking with God is that He knows all of our struggles, past, present and future. He is always here to lead and guide us to the right place, a good place, full of joy and peace.
Sometimes all we need is a little push and encouragement to get going again.

If you are reading this right now, then God has lead you here for a reason. My passion is to help you do just that. No matter where you are in your life and even if you don’t know God yet, that’s ok. I can help and teach you HOW to take those next steps and become that woman of God you were called to be.
Yes, you are called, even though you may not know it, God wants a better life for you.

That’s why He created Proverbs 31, to put you and all of us on the right path. Once you do, your life will change by leaps and bounds. You will feel less stressed, organized, purposeful and your relationship with God will grow more and more.
Interior Design
*****
I’ve also been an Interior Designer for over 22 years, a FIDM graduate with lots of experience, so I know quite a bit about space planning, inspiration and creating visions. Whether it is to decorate your home with inspiring ideas, colors and functionality, stock your kitchen pantry with nutritious food for your family or need quiet time and prayer with God. I outline the “Proverbs 31 Lifestyle” in each of my blog posts; because it’s all there for you in the scriptures. What to do and why.
This isn’t another make-shift blog on how to fix your water-heater.

Being a trained Interior Designer, I have worked my entire career in Custom Interiors. I can help you turn your home into a place of absolute beauty without breaking the bank or surrounding yourself with cheap trends and furniture. With all of my years of training and over 5,000 clients to boot, I can navigate you through it all. From paint colors to rug placements, windows, walls and furniture, etc., I can get you where you need to be.
Interior Design is also very important in achieving the peaceful, loving environment of the Proverbs 31 woman. Whether you are decorating for fun or desire to have a professional-model looking home, with the right tools and a plan in place, you can achieve great success.
Our homes should be places of peace and comfort, when the world’s chaos is constantly overwhelming us.

Interesting enough, Interior Design and Proverbs 31 go hand in hand. It’s actually a required lifestyle that God expects us to learn. Once you study it, the understanding of why He is calling us to live this way, will be made clearer.
So, sit back and relax with a cup of Tea and some baked goodies, as we go through a wonderful Journey together of self-discovery exploring God’s purpose for your life.
And in the process, turning your home into a beautiful, loving place that you never want to leave.
