She shall be Praised
Proverbs 31:28
“Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.”
Blessed by God
It isn’t anything I’ve done…
To be blessed is such a compliment whenever we hear someone say this about us or anyone. Some people think it’s because we are special or unique in some way or maybe we won a prize in a contest. But actually, when we think of the term “blessed”, according to God’s word, this has a completely different meaning.
As a child of God, what we do on a daily basis (our actions, thoughts and deeds) and how we do these things is a reflection of our character. Do we trust, have faith, stay devoted to our work, family and God’s word; how much strength and honor do we possess and how do we display this to others? The list is endless and continues to grow as we grow in grace.
The Glory of God
Don’t chase after the world…
Everything we have is because of God’s grace and glory. Without Him, we are nothing and can achieve nothing of real value. When we run after the world’s view of life, we usually find out that we become lost and full of emptiness, going down the wrong pathways, making unfulfilled choices and then we become stuck in a void, which as we learn later, only God can fill.
So, we humble ourselves before it’s too late, realize what we have done and get back on track. Living a blessed life is not one of party ballons and cupcakes all of the time. It takes work and sacrifice; mentally, physically and emotionally. Women are very emotional creatures, but that can be a great virtue, because a woman is in-tune with her surroundings and her empathy is much higher than most. It is a true gift to be more sensitive and understanding. It is a great strength that God has established in all of us. Use this wonderful quality and do not be ashamed of it.
Staying in the Word
Trust in Jesus to lead you…
None of us are perfect by any degree, we have all made mistakes, but when we strive to be the best version of ourselves, see the pathway that God is leading us down (even when we don’t understand), we can say that we are truly “Blessed”. We may not have it all figured out tomorrow, but as long as we continue to strive in the things that God has put on our hearts, we will get there.
Jesus is a great teacher on this subject and He knows we are at times, more complex and misunderstood. He will always tell us to keep going and let your light shine. He wants your heart and a relationship with you. He knows us better than we know ourselves. Never give up, even when everyone and everything around you is overwhelming at times. Do not dismay, for He will pick you up when you fall and He will comfort you during those moments. You are always blessed! You are never not blessed, when you follow Christ.
“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
